But Farrah was a taken woman - she married Lee Majors, the star of "The Six Million Dollar Man" in 1973. Fawcett and Majors separated in 1979, divorcing two years later.The actress steamed up TV screens when she teamed up with another hunk - this time, football star Joe Namath - for an ad for Noxcema cream in the early '80s. Fawcett memorably lathered up the New York Jet quarterback in the commercial.
She met O'Neal, who was a friend of her husband's, in 1981.
Soon after Fawcett's divorce in 1982, the couple moved in together.
Fawcett gave birth to the couple's son Redmond in 1985. Redmond, who has struggled with addiction, was most recently arrested at the beginning of April on charges of drug possession, preventing him from being with his mother during her last days.
